３月２４日（日）村櫛小学校体育館で町民バウンドテニス大会が開催された。
若手を代表して後藤昭司さんと新村香代子さんが選手宣誓をして始まったこの大会は、年間を通してバウンドテニスを楽しんでいる人だけでなく、初めてラケットを握る参加者もいてアットホームな大会となった。
初めての参加者はルールを理解しないまま試合に臨んでいたが、対戦相手やペア相手に教えてもらいながら、入らなかったサーブも徐々に入るようになったりスマッシュも上手に返せるようになったりと段々とバウンドテニスを楽しんでいるようだった。
大会は選手宣誓で宣言していたように、和気藹々とお互いを助け合い、時々笑いのある楽しい大会となっていた。
